SENIOR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR, SCHEDULING & CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
Boston University's Office of the University Registrar (OUR) seeks a strategic and collaborative Senior Assistant Registrar for Scheduling and Classroom Management to lead scheduling operations and classroom management on the Charles River Campus. This role coordinates with campus partners to ensure academic spaces and schedules meet pedagogical and operational needs.
Under the direction of the Associate Registrar for Curriculum and Classroom Management, this position collaborates with schools and colleges, the Provost's Office, Enrollment Services Operations, MARCOM, and IS&T to support the development and maintenance of each semester''s course schedule and classroom assignments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team responsible for course scheduling and classroom assignments across the Charles River Campus. Communicate deadlines, policies, and process changes to ensure consistent execution.
- Manage the semester scheduling cycle, audit data quality, and resolve issues in collaboration with IT and Enrollment Services. Prepare systems for registration and ensure scheduling practices align with institutional needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and online resources for internal staff and school-based schedulers. Support training for new and existing users.
- Analyze scheduling trends to inform policy recommendations. Support testing and implementation of updates in the student information system (MYBU) and respond to classroom-related issues and special requests.
The Office of the University Registrar is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). It supports instructional and student progress by providing quality services to students, faculty, academic and administrative departments, and the public. It supervises registration and transfer credit evaluation, maintains student academic records and grades, issues transcripts, verifies enrollment and graduation, issues diplomas, assigns classrooms, produces the class schedule, schedules final examinations, and oversees the Bulletin and Degree Advice system.

- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of experience with 2+ years of management experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., People Soft/Campus Solutions) and scheduling software
- Ability to build collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholders and departments
