Mortgage Closing Processor

Job Description

Eastern Bank is hiring a Closing Processor to prepare closing packages and issue closing disclosures for various products offered throughout all business channels ensuring compliance with TRID regulations. The role requires excellent customer service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate financial documentation.

• Complete closing screens in system
• Prepare closing packages
• Communicate with closing attorneys and sales staff
• Complete the closing checklist
• Calculate and verify cure amounts and wire breakdowns
• Review closing disclosures for accuracy and minimum investment requirements
• Respond quickly to post‑closing notifications and prepare revised documents when necessary
• Maintain up‑to‑date procedures and assist with other team functions as needed
• Provide courteous telephone support and exceptional internal/external customer relations

• High school diploma or GED and 2 to 5 years related experience
• Experience with FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, VA, MASS Housing and NHHFA Housing Guidelines and USDA / State Housing programs
• Familiarity with Encompass platform software and mortgage processing software
• Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Commitment to ethical and legal standards to minimize litigation exposure
• Strong customer service orientation and willingness to work with the public

High school diploma or GED and 2 to 5 years related experience.

The physical demands include standing 50% of the time, operating a computer and other office productivity machinery, occasional lifting of boxes up to 20 pounds, and occasional travel to meetings, training and other business activities. The work environment is a moderate‑noise open floor‑plan office.
