Our best-in-the-world simulation app turns realistic medical decision-making into an entertaining game. Full Code is loved by medical students, physicians, nurses and paramedics all over the world and used at leading medical education programs. We are fully SaaS-based with app store subscriptions and annual B2B contracts.

We are led by an expert software craftsman and one of the best medical educators in the world. Our small team is a half-dozen FTEs plus a dozen part-time & contractors. We value work-life balance, in-person collaboration and enjoying the work we do.

We are hiring for:

A unique role where you will take over an increasing share of business operations and leadership. Our CEO is also our lead product engineer and your primary goal will be to allow him to dedicate as much time as possible to the latter. The role starts as Chief of Staff by overseeing HR and operations plus a meaningful contribution to either sales, marketing or product management.

The role is involved in all aspects of the business as it evolves into a leadership position with a potential future title of Chief Operating Officer (COO). The role is hybrid with 3 days a week in downtown Boston and 2 days at home and heads-down.

Specific initial responsibilities
  • Oversee contractor/part-time hiring for a number of minor roles
  • Assist with management & recruitment for our clinical authoring team
  • Operationally oversee all staff including contracts, time-off, travel & expenses
  • Improve & formalize employee policies & benefits programs
  • Lead search and establishment of a new office in Boston
  • Assist with budgeting, financial planning, accounts and payments
  • Plan and lead regular company meetings (agendas + decks)
  • Plan and lead in-person events
  • Depending on your past experience, contribute to either sales, marketing or product management
Your background & our expectations:

We expect you to have succeeded at all your past roles and continuously aimed for something higher. You haven’t just succeeded, you’ve driven success in others. You should have practical experience in something relevant to our business (B2B sales, marketing, product design) but are thinking bigger—a recent mid-career MBA graduate might be ideal. We are looking for someone experienced enough to have learned some hard lessons, but still looking for their career-defining role.

We expect very hard work and total dedication, but our business is a marathon, not a sprint—so we expect you to get your work done and clock out around 5:30.

Role requirements
  • You live in the Boston area, or are willing to relocate without assistance
  • An applicable undergraduate degree from a high quality university
  • Minimum 4 years of practical work experience in a related role and industry
  • You are highly adept at complex computer systems and able to have technical conversations
  • You are keeping up with developments in generative AI, and are excited and able to apply in practice
  • You have past experience, or a strong desire to work in a small startup
  • You are capable of high-level leadership, but willing to do any job necessary
  • Must
    be authorized to work in the United States without current or future need for sponsorship
Compensation and benefits
  • Base salary between $120-160k/yr depending on experience
