The Work

The Analyst - Associate Consultant contributes to projects by conducting research and evaluation under supervision. You will assist project work to inform customer strategies by contributing to in-house forecasting models, quantifying market strategies, studying market portfolios and stakeholder needs, benchmarking industry standards, and developing policy and market overviews.

Asset Valuation, Transmission, and Markets;
Integrated System Planning. We encourage pursuing your own areas of interest and will help determine the best fit based on qualifications and interests.

Typical Responsibilities
  • Assist the delivery of customer work through modeling, presentations, writing, and reports; help with additional customer requests
  • Conduct independent research and develop reasonable solutions, sometimes with incomplete information (e.g., country-level energy market research, regulatory topics)
  • Translate results of research into clear visual representations
  • Aid project heads in creating or editing client-ready spreadsheets and tools
  • Track progress against plan and communicate with leadership
  • Capture project learnings for knowledge management
  • Assist with internal initiatives as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in energy and climate change issues or related project work
  • Experience related to one of our Practice Areas:
    Climate Pathways and Electrification;
    Asset Valuation, Transmission, and Markets;
    Integrated System Planning
  • Collaborative work style and ability to contribute to team success
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint;
    Python is valued
  • Desire to work in a dynamic office environment
