Contract Manager – Contract Lifecycle Manager
We are seeking a Contract Manager to oversee the full contract lifecycle from creation through archiving. Reporting to the Associate Director, Legal Operations & Contract Management, this role serves as the primary intake point for all contractual requests across the organization. The Contract Manager independently manages simple contracts and partners closely with legal and cross‑functional stakeholders on more complex agreements to ensure compliance, efficiency, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the single point of entry for all contract requests; assess complexity and determine appropriate contracting approach
- Partner with requestors to gather requirements, select templates, draft agreements, and initiate the contracting process
- Manage the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, terminations, and archiving
- Independently draft, review, and negotiate simple contracts with external parties
- Coordinate complex contracts with legal stakeholders and support cross‑functional reviews and approvals
- Ensure contracts comply with organizational policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and elevate contractual risks, ambiguities, and negotiation issues as needed
- Maintain accurate contract records within the contract management system
- Support process improvements and additional initiatives as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Healthcare Management, Legal Studies, or paralegal certification
- 5+ years of experience in contract management, including drafting and negotiation
- Strong understanding of contract structures, standard clauses, and legal terminology
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage high volumes of work and prioritize effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Boston‑based; hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite), with increased onsite presence during onboarding
- Less than 5% travel
