Construction Crew Leader

Michael S. Coffin LLC is a landscape construction and horticultural management company specializing in high-end residential properties throughout New England. We work closely with top-tier landscape architects and design firms to bring refined outdoor spaces to life through expert craftsmanship and horticultural insight.

We’re seeking a motivated and skilled Construction Crew Leader to join our field operations team. This role is ideal for a professional who upholds high standards of craftsmanship, values industry best practices, and takes pride in leading small crews through the execution of high-end landscape construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead crew in the installation of project layout, landscape masonry and planting.
• Maintain clean, professional, and organized job sites at all times.
• Communicate material and equipment needs with foresight for upcoming tasks.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate daily records using digital tools, job sheets, and timecards.
• Uphold safety protocols and train crew members on best practices.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of field-based construction experience.
• Ability to lead and support 1-3 crew members.
• Familiarity with reading construction plans and translating layout in the field.
• Proficient in operating skid steers, mini excavators, and other construction equipment.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license required.
