As a Plumbing Estimator / Commercial Construction Estimator, you will develop accurate, timely, and competitive plumbing estimates for public, commercial, and industrial projects. You will analyze drawings, perform detailed digital takeoffs, evaluate pricing, and build complete bid proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Project Review:
Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, and schedules to identify project scope, risks, and requirements. - Digital Takeoffs:
Perform precise plumbing quantity takeoffs (piping, valves, fixtures, equipment) using Quote Express and Microsoft Excel. - Pricing & Bids:
Prepare labor, material, and equipment pricing, scope letters, qualifications, and value engineering proposals. - Vendor Management:
Solicit, track, and level vendor/subcontractor quotes for specification compliance. - Team
Collaboration:
Attend estimating meetings, manage cloud project files (Share File), and partner with field operations.
- 3+ years of experience estimating plumbing systems for commercial or industrial projects (or equivalent field + estimating background).
- Strong ability to read and interpret MEP construction plans and specs.
- Proficiency with digital takeoff software (Quote Express or similar database platforms) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and written communication skills for creating detailed scope letters.
