Overview
Temporary Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) role at Boston Conservatory at Berklee (BCB). This position supports various productions in the season, including Theater, Dance, and Opera. The ASM, with the Production Stage Manager, assists in organizing and disseminating production information, supervises backstage activities, and ensures post-production needs are met. The ASM supervises the student crew. A candidate may be hired to work on one or more productions, in addition to end-of-year events, depending on need, availability and qualifications.

- Create appropriate paperwork for the show, including prop tracking, run sheets, scene breakdown, entrance/exit plot, and who/what/where.
- Assist with scheduling, coordinating and recording information from production meetings.
- Collaborate with SM to schedule and run rehearsals, prepare and distribute rehearsal reports, schedules and changes.
- Assist in supervising rehearsals, tech and dress rehearsals, and backstage needs as assigned by the SM.
- Assist in the creation of prompt books, run sheets and production checklists.
- Train and oversee student Assistant Stage Managers and student-run crew.
- Supervise backstage activities during tech and dress rehearsals, and performances.
- 2-4 years of practical experience as an Assistant Stage Manager for Theater, Opera, and/or Dance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
