Call Center Representative Level 1 (Temporary)-Spanish
Upham's Community Care is hiring a Call Center Representative Level 1 (Temporary) who will provide exceptional customer service for English and Spanish speakers. This is a temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent or per‑diem.
Position Title: Call Center Representative Level I
Department: Reception/Support Services
Supervisor: Call Center Supervisor
Hours per week: 40
Pay Range: $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience)
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Friday: OFF
- Saturday: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Rotating holidays
The Call Center Representative Level I provides consistent customer service to callers and walk‑ins, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive support. Duties include telephony protocols, patient identification, demographic and insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and electronic medical record documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities- Answer incoming UCC main phone line, including patient calls, appointment scheduling, documentation, and routing of appropriate calls.
- Administer triage for patients needing urgent appointments and coordinate with triage nurse and urgent care staff.
- Handle appointment scheduling using all available resources and protocols to assist patients and staff.
- Make outbound calls to patients for rescheduling and reminders.
- Welcome, greet, and direct patients and customers arriving at UCC lobby.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency codes and use the emergency button.
- Manage patient requests for free transportation through BMC, including Uber.
- Check patients in and out of OCHIN and other systems following protocols.
- Collect and process cash following protocols.
- Be willing to work evenings, Saturdays, and/or holidays.
- Cross‑train to cover other duties as needed.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Provide interpretation for patients as requested.
- Perform other duties as needed.
