Project Landscape Architect – Project ManagerBoston, MA
• Lead design and project management for K‑12 schools, parks, playgrounds, and multi‑family housing. Oversee multiple projects from start to completion, manage budgets, mentor junior staff, and grow into a leadership position within IMEG.
- Prepare concept and schematic landscape designs
- Review exhibits and renderings before finalization
- Research landscape codes, prepare planting plans, and review specifications
- Complete tree preservation plans and site visits
- Prepare construction documents, details, cost estimates, and take‑offs
- Conduct site visits and review as‑builds
- Manage projects: budgeting, scheduling, meetings, and client deliverables
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff
- Build, maintain, and develop client relationships
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent organizational and project‑management skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative team player with a positive working attitude
- Mentorship, training, and leadership capabilities
- Commercial acumen: ability to sell work and cultivate client relationships
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent (required)
- Professional Landscape Architecture (PLA) License (required)
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including construction administration
- Experience or interest in institutional, parks, recreation, and athletics projects (ideal)
Salary Range: $106,000 – $145,000 (location dependent). Additional compensation may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, employee wellness programs, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, PTO, tuition reimbursement, and more.
