Hike Medical is reinventing musculoskeletal care, starting with feet. Our proprietary AI-vision platform turns a 30 second web based (yes, no sensors) foot scan into precision engineered, 3D-printed insoles that prevent pain before it starts. We’re already protecting on-their-feet work forces at Fortune 50 leaders, major health systems, and middle America manufacturers. Fresh off a stealthy round with top tier VCs, we run a fast, no BS, execution first culture out of Boston’s Seaport as we sprint toward $100M ARR and standing with 10M Americans as they step into their shoes daily.

As a Founding Designer at Hike Medical you’ll craft the next generation of surfaces for healthcare AI that impacts real people (not just helping payers make more $$). You’ll shape how people interact with real-time AI, precision biomechanics, and a foot-first MSK care system used by some of the largest employers and health systems in the country. Your work will reach tens of thousands of people on their feet every day, from day one, and help prevent pain before it starts.

• You’ll own product experiences from first touch to full conversion on web, mobile, and physical surfaces.
• You’ll lead the creation of Hike’s new AI native DME fitting network, Step Zero
• You’ll define a design system and interaction model that makes complex AI interactions feel simple, safe, and empowering.
• You’ll work directly with the CEO, CTO, and AI team to invent and see your work ship daily.

• Design simple, elegant experiences for complex AI flows including real-time computer vision, pathology detection, and personalized insole generation.
• Build out the design system that spans Hike’s employer, clinic, and consumer experiences.
• Collaborate tightly with engineering to ensure designs are not only beautiful, but performant and shippable.
• Partner with product, marketing, and customer success to ensure Hike’s brand and UX are unified across surfaces from onboarding flows to foot scans to follow-ups.
• Push the boundaries of what a healthcare interface can be focusing on clarity, speed, and user trust.

Design Skills

• Strong visual and interaction design fundamentals are key – you know how to make interfaces feel calm, clean, and fast.
• Experience designing complex flows across platforms (mobile, web, and email).
• Able to design for trust in AI products: clear, contextual feedback, intuitive user control, and zero confusion.
• Bonus:
  Experience designing healthcare, AI, or commerce systems or working with physical digital products.
