Boston Medical Center – Brighton Chief of Urology Department of Surgery – Division of Urology
The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at Boston Medical Center – Brighton, a member of the Boston Medical Center Health System, is seeking a full‑time Board‑Certified, fellowship‑trained physician as Chief of Urology. The urologist will treat patients with kidney, adrenal gland, bladder, prostate, and reproductive organ issues, and oversee the hospital’s urology providers.
Clinical responsibilities include office practice and hospital consultations. The physician should have a strong working knowledge of male and female genitourinary organs and experience with various medical treatment techniques, and be compassionate and sympathetic toward patients.
Required qualifications:
- Board Certified and Fellowship trained in Urology
- Massachusetts Licensed
- At least five (5) years of Urology experience with demonstrated leadership and administrative experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of patient safety and participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated commitment to collegial, evidence‑based practice and patient care, and to resident and medical student education
- Commitment to a program that prioritizes social responsibility, respect, dignity, sensitivity, advocacy, and community service
The base salary will be determined based on clinical FTE, qualifications, experience, education, board certifications, specialty, training, and scope of practice. Incentive compensation may be discussed during the interview process.
