The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center/Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is recruiting for a full‑time Academic Generalist Obstetrician/Gynecologist

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center/Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is seeking a full‑time General Obstetrician and Gynecologist to provide comprehensive health care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, including actively participating in the educational and clinical training of residents and medical students. This physician will join a department that provides safe, high‑quality, cost‑effective obstetrical and gynecological care using evidence‑based medicine and best practices.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based obstetric and gynecologic care to a diverse patient population in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Participate in the supervision and education of medical students and residents, including bedside teaching, didactic lectures, and skills training.
  • Engage in academic and scholarly activities, including quality improvement projects, clinical research, or educational scholarship, with mentorship and support provided.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that reflects the institution’s values of diversity, equity, and excellence in healthcare delivery.

Academic appointment will be at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. Rank and salary will be commensurate to qualifications and experience. This position includes competitive compensation, benefits package, and CME allowance.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Applicants must possess an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Medical License
  • Applicants must be board certified or be an active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Fluency in Spanish, or languages other than English, is highly desirable but not required
  • Experience in high volume, high‑risk obstetrics is also preferred
