Smart HR is hiring for a Pediatric Physician for a client in the Greater Boston area

Our clients children's hospital is looking for a Pediatrician to join our staff. The ideal candidate is committed to providing the best possible medical care to patients of all ages, as well as helping them and their families to support a healthy way of life. A Pediatrician must have a strong compassionate nature and will be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Our Pediatrician should also have a firm grasp of modern medicine and willingness to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to patients of all ages.
• Interact with patients and their families in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
• Diagnose and treat infectious diseases, acute and chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries that are common in childhood.
• Write prescriptions for medications appropriate for specific illnesses or injuries.
• Examine patients and conduct routine tests, such as urinalysis, blood tests, and electrocardiograms.
• Order x-rays to investigate symptoms.
• Prescribe medications for chronic diseases such as asthma, allergies, depression, high blood pressure and cholesterol, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and osteoporosis.
• Adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), state licensure laws, state medical board requirements, federal guidelines on experimental drug use, federal standards of medical practice concerning informed consent in research studies, Federal Information Security Management Act.
