The Department of Physical Therapy, Movement, and Rehabilitation Sciences is located within Bouvé College of Health Sciences and comprises 40 faculty members, some with joint or affiliated appointments across other colleges, who are internationally known for their study of rehabilitation sciences and brain and cognitive health. The Department offers one of the most established and largest Doctor of Physical Therapy programs in the country, along with Ph.D. and Master's programs in Human Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences, and a Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is integrated throughout programs at Northeastern, and our Master’s program features a dedicated AI concentration.
** About the Opportunity
** The primary appointment will be within the Department of Physical Therapy, Movement, and Rehabilitation Sciences in Bouve with a secondary appointment in another college that is in line with the candidate’s research expertise.

The ADVANCE Office of Faculty Development office works in conjunction with the Office of Research Development (ORD), the Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning Through Research (CATLR), and University Decision Support (UDS) to provide programs and trainings to further develop and support a thriving faculty.
** Resposibilities
* * Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting an independent and externally funded research program, and participating in departmental, college, and university service. Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations.
** Qualifications
* ** PhD in kinesiology, movement/rehabilitation science, engineering, human computer interaction, human factors, or related field is required.
* Established line of inquiry including AI and sensors/wearable devices.
* Demonstrated experience writing and submitting grants commensurate with candidate’s rank.
* Interdisciplinary, team research that engaged individuals from other discipline but is focused on health outcomes.
* To be considered at the Associate level or higher at least 5 years of academic or equivalent experience and evidence of funding is required.
