Teacher - Moderate Disabilities/Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Gr. K-6 (SEI Endorsement Required)
Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Special Education Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Teacher with an SEI Endorsement to join our community of educators. This role focuses on supporting students with moderate to severe cognitive delays through small‑group instruction, individualized goals, and data‑based instruction.
Responsibilities- Implement district learning goals and objectives aligned with state frameworks, identifying student access points for portfolio development.
- Provide small‑group instruction to students diagnosed with moderate to severe cognitive delays, ensuring understanding and progress in the general curriculum.
- Write and implement goals and objectives consistent with student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide timely, regular progress reports.
- Provide needed accommodations for student learning and testing, develop and implement curriculum when required, and analyze student work for MCAS Alternative Assessment preparedness.
- Collaborate with school staff to support modification of instruction and respond to student needs.
- Assist students transitioning to adult living services where appropriate.

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities for the appropriate grade level.
- Hold either an ESL License at the appropriate level or an SEI Endorsement.
- Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
- Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching established by Boston Public Schools.
- Current authorization to work in the United States; must have authorization by day one of employment.
- Experience teaching in urban schools.
- Degree in Special Education.
- Fluency in one of Boston Public Schools’ official languages:
Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, or Somali. - Certification in core content area and either Moderate Disabilities or English as a Second Language at appropriate grade levels.
