BHCC is seeking dynamic adjunct faculty to teach in the Visual & Media Arts Department.
Available course:
VMA-100 Cultures & Careers Visual Art (Tuesdays, In-person, 6:00 p.m.
- 8:45 p.m.)
This course introduces students to creativity as a process, careers in creative fields, academic planning for transfer, and college and departmental resources. Classroom discussions will examine the personal and cultural relevance of a wide range of art forms, aesthetic approaches, contemporary and historical movements, and how art and design function in the context of an equitable society. Students and faculty will take part in creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and civility where diverse viewpoints can be shared.
Students will work on independent projects that lead to portfolio development and sustainable studio practice. Activities will include presentations by visiting artists, faculty, and student support staff. Field trips will include local galleries, studios, and museums. The course is required for all Visual and Media Arts majors.

Job Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
- Commitment to advancing equity and access in the classroom.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
- Master's Degree in a related field.
- Commercial experience as a graphic designer.
- College teaching experience, especially at community college level.
Salary: $1,397.00 Per Credit Hour
Effective Date: Spring semester, open until filled
