Job Description

The Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a full‑time tenure‑track faculty position to begin September 1, 2026. The department welcomes strong candidates from any research area, with a particular emphasis on Artificial Neural Networks. Applicants are expected to establish a highly recognized, externally funded, and independent research program, and to contribute to the department’s teaching mission.

  • A PhD in computer science or a related area is required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in research, teaching, and service.

Compensation and Benefits

UMass Boston expects to pay within an approximate range of $80,000 to $126,000 for this position. The specific pay will be determined by the University based on qualified experience and relevant factors. Exceptional candidates may be offered salaries above the published range.
