Musicians Playground is a vibrant, welcoming music community designed for adult hobbyists—like a gym, but for musicians. Located in the heart of Downtown Crossing, our 3,000 sq ft studio is filled with top‑tier instruments, amenities, and creative energy. We offer private lessons, group classes, music‑based team‑building events, and more. We’re seeking experienced, passionate piano teachers who value music as fun, connection, and personal wellness—and who want to teach without the burden of running their own business.

Stable + flexible—~25 hrs/week can yield $3,500+/mo; even ~12 hrs/week provides consistent, meaningful income. - One beautiful, central studio:
No unpaid travel. Teach in an inspiring Downtown Crossing space with top‑tier instruments, tech, espresso, and snacks. - Consistent students & strong systems:
Marketing + ops help high‑performing teachers fill schedules any time of year. Training provided to convert new students. - Aligned, motivated learners:
Adult hobbyists who choose to be here—for fun, connection, and personal growth. - Ongoing training & growth:
Paid onboarding and continued professional development for more ease, impact, and confidence. - Transportation covered (MBTA):
Teach 4+ days (20+ hours/week) and receive MBTA reimbursement (up to $90/month). - Free studio use (personal/pro), teach up to 5 of your own clients off‑peak at no cost, full access to resources, and room to grow.
- Music degree (or graduating within 6 months).
- Late‑intermediate to advanced classical proficiency, plus comfort teaching contemporary styles.
- 2+ years of teaching in private & group settings.
- Loves working with adult hobbyists (and comfortable teaching kids when needed).
- Brings warm, engaging, collaborative energy to lessons.
- Sees music as fun, connection, and personal wellness.
- Wants to be part of a professional, inspiring team.
- Background in music education/pedagogy.
- The ability to sing.
- Experience arranging or producing music.
- Has performed or led bands.
Teach private and group piano lessons to adult hobbyists (and some children).
Support the development of the piano department and curriculum.
Assist with new‑client scheduling and communication.
Help with special events and music‑based team‑building experiences.
Participate in weekly staff meetings and ongoing training.
Contribute to curriculum or community initiatives (optional).
Schedule & commitment- Minimum: 2 days/week, 12+ peak hours.
- Peak times:
Mon–Thu 3–9pm, Fri 3–7pm, Sat/Sun 9–5pm. - Weekly team meeting:
Wednesdays 1–2pm (virtual). - Light but responsive communication:
Check Slack & email daily. - Periodic client events:
Fridays or Sundays with 1+ month notice. - Minimum 1-year commitment:
