This is a long‑term substitute position expected to start on 11/03/2025 and end on 02/06/2026. All substitute teachers are hired as per diem subs, even in long‑term assignments. All substitutes begin at the per diem rate of pay. For more information on becoming a BPS sub, refer to the website.

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Physical Education Teacher who is highly qualified and knowledgeable to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. • Teach Physical Education.

• Hold a Bachelor's degree.
• Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Physical Education at the appropriate level.
• Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching established by BPS.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.

• Experience teaching in urban schools.
• Fluency in one of BPS’s official languages:
  Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, or Somali.
• Certification in Moderate Disabilities or English as a Second Language at appropriate grade levels.
