BHCC fosters a welcoming and supportive learning environment for students by offering associate degrees and certificates, early college and dual enrollment, community education, corporate training, and industry-specific programs.

The primary responsibility of the accounting and business tutor is to provide one-on-one or group support to students who are currently enrolled in accounting and business courses. The tutor’s work is informed by best practices and the mission of TASC.

The professional accounting/business tutor will also be responsible for:

• Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic assignments.
• Demonstrating academic best practices for specific subjects and assignments, including research and writing.
• Working with students to help them understand key concepts, especially those learned in the classroom.
• Providing students positive and constructive feedback.
• Building meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Attending staff meetings several times each semester.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business.encoder or a related area is required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to work with a faculty, staff, and student population.
• The tutor is required to be available three weekdays from 9:
  
  -danger to 5:00 in-person on the Charlestown campus.

Salary: $35.31 an hour at 18.5 hours a week. Part-Time Non-Benefited position.
