The College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD) at Northeastern University is seeking interdisciplinary candidates for an academic year, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, with a record of excellence in critically-engaged research and/or creative practice that advances the concept of AI-mediated telepresence, where technology is used to enhance connection across distance in areas such as telemedicine, telehealth, immersive/AI-mediated shared environments, and human information networks beginning in academic year .A

successful candidate could focus on research areas pertaining to design, development, management, and deployment of telepresence and AI in real-world contexts and practices, including (but not limited to): immersive, AI-powered, and digital health technologies; embodied intelligence; immersive social presence; human-agent teaming; the relationship between telepresence and AI; AI-mediated remote teaching and learning; distributed simulation and training, including clinical, professional, and educational training;

and/or multi-modal experience design. A program or demonstrated potential for externally funded research and/or industry partnerships is required.
