The Department of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for the Robert T. Seeley Visiting Assistant Professor position, beginning September 1, 2026. This is a one-year, non-tenure-track appointment, renewable for a second year based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding. The position includes a 1-1 teaching load.
The research area is open to all fields of pure and applied mathematics closely aligned with those in the department.
Required QualificationsPhD in Mathematics (must be completed by the start date).
Authorization to work in the United States.
Demonstrated excellence in research productivity or potential.
Strong record or promise of effective university-level teaching.
