Suffolk University Law School welcomes applications for a tenure-track Clinical Professor to direct its Environmental Law and Policy Clinic. The Environmental Law & Policy Clinic (“ELPC”) was established in 2023 to meet growing student demand and urgent community need, and is one of Suffolk’s 15 year-long, faculty directed clinics. Suffolk Law’s Clinics are ranked in the top 5 of such programs nationally by U.S. News & World Report and have been ranked among the top 20 for more than a decade.
The Clinical Professor will lead and teach all aspects of the ELPC, including managing the docket, supervising clinical students in their case and project work, and teaching the related clinical seminar. In addition to directing the Clinic, the faculty member will be expected to teach one non-clinical course in a related field, contribute to the Law School and community, and produce scholarship.
We seek candidates with strong academic records and a commitment to excellence in clinical teaching and scholarship. Prior experience in clinical education is preferred. At least five years of environmental law experience is required. Experience with legislative advocacy and/or environmental policy is strongly preferred. Applicants must be admitted or eligible for admission to the Massachusetts Bar within six months of beginning the position.
