Junior Party Chief – WSP in the U.S.
OpportunityWSP is seeking a Junior Party Chief to join our Land Surveying and Geospatial Team across Worcester‑MA, Boston‑MA, and Merrimack‑NH offices. This full‑time position performs survey field work in a supporting or leading role under the guidance of a party chief. You will work on diverse commercial, transportation, environmental, industrial, institutional, and energy projects throughout the greater Boston area and the wider state of Massachusetts, with occasional travel to other locations.

- Conduct field surveys and collect data using a variety of survey instruments.
- Prepare clear, legible field notes and sketches.
- Interact with office staff, the management team, clients, and the public, representing WSP professionally.
- Work independently or with an instrument operator, and assist with additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies, exercising responsible decision‑making with company resources.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED (higher education in land surveying or related field preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience in land surveying or geospatial services.
- Basic knowledge of common survey equipment, practices, and procedures.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Successful completion of WSP’s Motor Vehicle and Background screening.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently with supervision or as part of a team on field tasks.
- Physical ability to walk long distances, carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
- Flexibility to accommodate project‑specific schedules, including after‑hours or out‑of‑town work.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related discipline.
- OSHA 10 or other safety training certifications.
- Progressing toward LSIT or CST certifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Leica Infinity or similar drafting/data processing programs.

CompensationExpected salary (all locations): $47,700 – $78,760. WSP may adjust this range based on education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
