Senior Structural Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Structure Care team! The Senior Structural Engineer will survey and evaluate existing structures, prepare inspection reports, and communicate assessment results and follow-up plans with business development colleagues and clients. They will also confer with project personnel to provide technical advice, ensure issues are resolved effectively, and support technical sales to strengthen customer relationships and secure new business.

The role includes mentoring, peer reviewing, and training engineering staff.

Responsibilities

• Survey and evaluate existing structures for maintenance and repair needs; prepare inspection reports for clients and Territory Managers.

• Communicate assessment results and follow-up plans; assist in conveying technical concepts to clients.

• Design structural repairs within the assigned territory.

• Review calculations, drawings, and construction documents; seek technical advice when needed.

• Research building codes and specifications.

• Support technical sales efforts for prospective and existing customers.

• Provide technical guidance to project teams and subcontractors.

• Attend seminars and training to maintain expertise.

• Assist in training and mentoring new Structural Engineers and engineering staff.

Required Expertise

• Bachelor's and Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; P.E. preferred.

• 7+ years of experience in concrete construction, repair, restoration, or forensic investigation.

• Experience with forensic and restoration engineering on parking structures of various types.
