Description
Project and Job Site Responsibilities- Assist with building system forensics, condition assessments, existing condition, and destructive and non-destructive testing.
- Perform on-site quality control inspections and document field conditions with digital photography. Draft the reports to 75% completion with final review by the project manager.
- Perform on-site field testing of building assemblies.
- Assist with development of project plans, details, and specifications as required by the project team. Coordinate project documents and reference materials to support the project team.
- Support coordination of services with internal and external experts, design professionals, manufacturers, and contractors.
- Draft reports documenting observational findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Demonstrate excellence when completing assigned tasks as directed by the project manager.
- Assist project manager in budgeting, scheduling, and client communication for more complex assignments.
- Support quality assurance services during the construction phase of projects.
- Responsible for direct client contact within the context of existing work.
- Represent BES with distinction in all professional activities including providing excellent work product, professional behavior, and alignment with our core values.
- Read and understand proposals and contract requirements.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and all other people you engage with while working for BES.
- Draft clear and concise documents for an internal and external audience using appropriate technical language in consultation and collaboration with other project team members and managers.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision from the project team.
- Draft personal weekly schedules for discussion with their manager / project team.
- Hold a working knowledge of design codes and industry standards.
- AutoCAD experience and proficiency strongly desired.
- Climbing ladders up to 30 ft.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently.
- Stand and walk for up to 6 hours when on job sites.
- Bend, squat, kneel, and otherwise maneuver around unpredictable job sites.
- After training, confidently use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- After training, properly operate scissor lifts, swing staging, ladders and other equipment used to access the jobsite.
- Use of various power tools.
- Drive a company van to and from job sites.
