Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer in Boston, MA to take the lead on complex projects in the science, technology, laboratory, mission-critical, and data center sectors. This role is ideal for a seasoned mechanical design professional who can independently manage projects from start to finish while mentoring junior staff and contributing to firm-wide technical excellence. Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; PE preferred
- 10+ years of HVAC / mechanical design experience in the MEP consulting industry
- Independently lead mechanical projects from concept through construction with minimal oversight
- Solve complex technical challenges and oversee design integrity and code compliance
- Prepare engineering studies, designs, and construction budgets for mechanical systems
- Review and supervise work of project design teams, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality
- Coordinate with code officials, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and construction issues
- Mentor junior engineers and provide leadership across multiple concurrent projects
Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits: full-time, permanent position with health, dental, and vision insurance (75% employer-paid) from day one, unlimited flexible PTO, hybrid work environment, 401(k) with company contributions, and a $2,600 annual stipend if health insurance is not needed.
