As a Program Supplier Quality Engineer here at Raytheon, you will be the primary interface between our supplier base and internal stakeholders of critical and technically advanced DOD Programs. This position works to improve product quality by systemically analyzing and validating measurement system capability for accuracy, repeatability, reproducibility, and stability over time; analyzing product performance using statistical methods to understand root cause, identify significant variances to predicted/targeted values;

and translating, analyzing, and prioritizing customer needs and company policy and objectives into quality performance standards.

What you will do:

* Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and Statements of Work.

* Interpret and explain these requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements.

* Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including:
Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.

* Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.

* Perform defect data analysis and review with the program managers and supplier management, which will assist in developing Supplier improvement plans

* Lead and participate on multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on six sigma, lean practices and other analytical improvement methods and tools

* Identify and document supplier risk; develop mitigation plans to reduce, eliminate and prevent supplied product defects

* Support containment activities associated with discrepant material, with assistance from functional stakeholders

* Drive the supplier corrective action process, review, approval and monitoring; assure containment, closed loop Root Cause Corrective Action is obtained; communicate issue and resolution to functional stakeholders

* You should anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews at supplier locations.

* You will represent quality during review boards covering changes: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.
Qualifications you must have:
* Requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).

* 8 years' experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.

* Experience with one or more of the following Quality Management standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102, AS9103, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.

* Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.

* Experience implementing modern Quality Assurance and Control methodologies such as Statistical Process Controls (SPC), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and Continuous Improvement in a supplier setting.

* Previous experience generating and presenting to leadership and suppliers key metrics and performance reviews.

* The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications we prefer:
* Knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)

* Effective written/verbal Communications Skills

* Certifications - Six Sigma, Lean, ASQ, ISO 9001 Auditor

* Experience with cables and wiring harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, machined components, and/or circuit card assemblies

* GD&T Knowledge, understanding, and practical application

* Practical knowledge of Aerospace or commercial equivalent Preventative tools - APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc.

* Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes

* Practical knowledge of Special Processes and their management

* Practical knowledge of First Article Inspection and AS9102 management
