Lead Power Systems Engineer

I am working with an early-stage semiconductor company developing a multi-material 3D integration platform. By combining materials such as GaN, silicon, glass and diamond, the team is tackling electrical, packaging and thermal challenges together.

They’re hiring a Lead Power Systems Engineer to own power-delivery architecture for high-density heterogeneous systems. This is a hands-on technical ownership role, spanning architecture decisions, physical implementation and measured hardware performance.

• Lead power-delivery architecture, evaluating options and taking them through delivered hardware.
• Define power conversion and distribution approaches around electrical, thermal, packaging and system requirements.
• Quantify trade-offs in efficiency, power density, transient response, thermal performance and reliability.
• Work closely with circuit, RF, packaging and systems engineers to resolve integration challenges.
• Own hardware bring-up, measurement and debug, using results to refine the design.
• Help establish engineering methods and technical priorities within a founding-stage team.

• Led power-delivery architecture or power systems for complex hardware, with clear personal responsibility from trade studies through implementation.
• Strong understanding of power conversion and distribution, including how physical integration affects performance.
• Evidence of making and validating engineering trade-offs using calculations, modelling and hardware measurements.
• Direct ownership of hardware bring-up and debug.
• Experience working across electrical, thermal and mechanical or packaging boundaries.
• The autonomy to make progress through ambiguity and remain hands-on as requirements evolve.

Experience in semiconductor systems, advanced packaging, compute, data centres, aerospace or similarly demanding power-electronics environments is particularly relevant.

You’ll own a foundational part of a new semiconductor platform, with substantial influence over architecture and implementation. As an early technical hire, you’ll work directly with the founding team and help shape how power delivery, packaging and thermal design come together.
