** The Vertex Process Engineering Data Analytics Co-Op is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or other related fields. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our Technical Operations - Drug Product functional areas and serve as a launchpad for your career.

**** What you will be doing:
** The Vertex Technical Operations-Drug Product team is looking for a motivated Co-op to join our team this spring. The Co-op will be responsible for assessing historical manufacturing/process data to identify trends and identify oppurtunities to improve the process. The Co-op will have the opportunity to interact with multiple departments (Drug Product Operations, Quality Operations and Analytical Development), as well as work with talented people from different cultures and backgrounds.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Analyze historical manufacturing/process data to identify trends, patterns, variability and potential process drivers
- * Perform data cleaning, visualization and statistical analysis using tools such as JMP, Excel or Power BI
* Develop meaningful visualizations and dashboards to communicate process performance and emerging trends
* Partner with Manufacturing Science & Technology and Quality teams to translate data into actionable process insights.
* Collaborate in a cross-functional team to develop solutions
* Identify opportunities to improve process monitoring, data utilization and manufacturing performance.
* Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders*.

*** Must be enrolled in a College/University and have at least finished one year of a Master’s or phD degree in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with a strong background in statistics and data analytics.
