Mechanical Engineer; SolidWorks; Part-Time

Dephy is looking for a candidate who wants to understand how things work and gets excited when there is no known solution to the problem  are curious, creative, and passionate, and looking for someone to help us tackle challenges at the forefront of wearable robotics.

We’re looking for a mechanical engineer proficient in Solid Works to support our team on a short-term, part-time contract. You’ll produce production-ready drawings and assemblies, applying sound GD&T practices.

• Part-time contract, approximately 25 hours total
• Duration: 2-3 months
• Location Remote

• Open to candidates anywhere in the US who work through their own LLC or business entity
• Candidates not working through an LLC must be based in Massachusetts

• Create detailed 2D drawings from 3D Solid Works models
• Build and manage basic assemblies
• Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to ensure manufacturability and clear design intent
• Collaborate with the team to review and revise designs as needed

• Proficiency in Solid Works (part modeling, assemblies, drawings)
• Solid working knowledge of GD&T
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• Portfolio of relevant work required with application

• Experience with FEA (Solid Works Simulation or similar)
• Solidworks surfacing
• Operating through your own LLC or business entity
