Overview

Our store teams operate in environments built on a people‑first employee experience rooted in authenticity, integrity, inclusion, equity, and empathy. As an Editor you ensure the customer experience lives through our products, presentation, packaging, and care. You collaborate with all team members to deliver a cohesive, seamless customer journey across in‑store, online pickup, or return, creating exceptional, story‑driven moments. You will also get trained in front‑ and back‑of‑house operations, develop a holistic understanding of customer touchpoints, and assist with coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

Customer Experience
  • Model and coach Glossier’s customer experience principles to ensure memorable interactions.
  • Embody our core values—Devoted to the Customer, Inclusive, Courageous, Curious, Discerning, and Results‑Driven—in all actions.
  • Become an expert on the entire product portfolio, including basics, benefits, applications, formulas, and care recommendations.
  • Fulfill customer order requests efficiently, thoughtfully, and accurately.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with repeat customers, engaging them before and after visits.
  • Master Glossier’s service expectations, training, and serve as a role model for new team members.
  • Monitor feedback and share insights with leadership.
  • Act as a brand ambassador fully versed in all aspects of the Glossier experience.
Teamwork
  • Maintain optimism and joy—having fun is encouraged.
  • Act as a safety champion; report hazards promptly.
  • Provide feedback on inventory logistics, packaging, and customer experience to leadership.
  • Serve as a product guru and resource for demonstrations and cross‑training.
  • Collaborate effectively on special projects and assignments.
Operational Excellence
  • Adhere to safety standards, including COVID‑19 guidelines.
  • Restock and replenish inventory using store systems and reporting.
  • Focus on inventory accuracy while maintaining speed.
  • Receive, manage, and inspect shipments, reporting discrepancies.
  • Participate in visual projects such as new displays, launches, and brand events.
  • Uphold uniform and presentation standards.
  • Become an expert in front‑ and back‑of‑house operations to support new hires.
  • Keep sensitive information confidential, especially credit card data.
  • Multitask, handling multiple requests without compromising service quality.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in fast‑paced retail or hospitality customer service.
  • Prior advisory or sales experience in beauty/skincare preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Passion for creating memorable, personalized experiences.
  • Advocate for inclusion and belonging within our community.
  • Demonstrated empathy while driving action.
  • Operational excellence mindset, understanding retail logistics for seamless service.
  • Willingness to jump in when needed.
  • A true collaborator who thrives in team settings.

  • Experience with POS or inventory systems is a plus.
