Global Fund Tax Manager (Hybrid, Boston)

Our client is a renowned Investment Management firm in Boston and they are looking for a Global Fund Tax Manager to join their team. This role offers exposure to complex tax issues, cross‑functional collaboration, and the opportunity to influence strategic financial decisions.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on North American fund tax issues, particularly those involving private funds, alternative investments, and complex product structures.
• Support operational tax compliance processes and governance frameworks.
• Identify tax considerations affecting complex fund structures and collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to meet product objectives.
• Contribute to tax planning initiatives for portfolio managers.
• Advise on operational and strategic tax matters and support development of internal processes.
• Identify and mitigate tax‑related risks.
• Manage relationships with external tax service providers.

• 7+ years of tax experience, preferably in investment fund taxation or coming directly out of public accounting.
• Master’s degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, or Finance.
• CPA, CA, or ACCA preferred.

• Deep knowledge of complex retail and private investment structures.
• Understanding of complex securities and alternative investments.
• Strong operational efficiency skills;
  Lean Six Sigma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.
• Experience with project management and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau).
