Job Overview – Senior Tax Associate:
Take on a key role with our private equity client as a Senior Tax Associate in Boston, MA. This in-office position focuses on providing tax advisory and compliance support for operations across the U.S. and 24 international markets. You’ll oversee tax filings, research, and planning, ensuring regulatory compliance while optimizing tax strategies for the firm’s management company and related entities.

Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000/year + bonus

Monday to Friday (In-Office)


Responsibilities as the Senior Tax Associate:
  • Tax Compliance & Filings: Review tax work papers, ensure timely filing of federal and state tax returns, and manage withholding requirements (Forms 1065, 5471, 8865, 1042-S, 1099, Schedule K-1/K-3).
  • Partnership Taxation: Assist with partnership allocations, tax distributions, and effectively connected income calculations.
  • Non-Income Tax Management: Oversee the execution and filing of sales, use, and property tax returns.
  • Global Tax Coordination: Work with internal teams and external advisors to complete corporate income tax filings and estimates across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Tax Reporting & Analysis: Prepare management company partnership tax estimates for quarterly reporting and ensure accurate compliance tracking.
  • Audit & Risk Mitigation: Monitor federal and state partnership tax risks and support responses to audits and tax authority inquiries.
Qualifications for the Senior Tax Associate:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Experience: 1-4 years of relevant tax accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
  • Skills & Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation: Ability to apply tax knowledge to new scenarios and develop efficient solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Technology Integration: Enthusiasm for leveraging technology to enhance tax compliance and reporting processes.
