Director, Private Equity Fund Finance, Accounting and Valuation

We are seeking a driven professional at Director level with a desire to work within a Private Equity finance, fund accounting & valuation function. The position covers private equity fund accounting, valuation, treasury & cash flow management, collaboration with the investment team on portfolio company valuations, assistance with fundraising and investor relations presentation materials, financial reporting, performance analysis, deal closing projects, and coordination with the taxation team.

The role reports directly to the Fund CFO and will oversee 1‑2 direct reports.

Compensation

Base salary: $145,000 – $200,000 per year, plus annual bonus and profit‑sharing plans. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA with company contribution, 100% parental leave, life & disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) plan, and generous PTO.

Responsibilities
  • Manage private equity fund accounting and valuation processes.
  • Oversee treasury and cash flow management.
  • Collaborate with investment team on portfolio company valuations.
  • Assist in investor relations presentations and fundraising efforts.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze performance metrics.
  • Support deal closing projects and coordinate with taxation team.
  • Lead and mentor 1‑2 direct reports and third‑party resources.
Qualifications
  • 8–20 years of relevant private equity fund finance experience.
  • CPA or CFA certification preferred.
  • Solid background in audit, tax, valuation, finance, or fund accounting.
  • Strong project management, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with Alteryx or similar tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can‑do attitude.
