About the Role: Managers in our Alternative Investment Funds practice oversee and complete tax projects; provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance for a variety of clients, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, fund of funds, and venture capital.
Managers Can Expect To- Engage in business development activities (i.e. prepare proposals, present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to market comprehensive tax strategies for prospective clients, etc.)
- Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
- Conduct primary and secondary review of complex federal and state tax returns.
- Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate the performance of Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
- 4+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years of Alternative Fund experience;
- Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree;
Accounting, Finance, Economics or related degree (Preferred); - Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD);
- Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment;
- Proficient use of technology.

Salary Range
:
For individuals hired to work in Boston, the expected salary range for this role is $120,000 to $190,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
