Who We Are Looking ForIn July 2013, U.S. banking regulators jointly issued a Final Rule implementing the Basel III regulatory capital framework. As a member of the Regulatory Capital team, you will focus on the calculation of credit, market, and operational risk‑weighted assets (RWA) for a large, complex organization.
Why this role is important to usThe team plays an integral role in the organization’s success, helping institutional investors manage risk and drive performance. You will help build resilience, execute day‑to‑day deliverables, and innovate scalable solutions.
What You Will Be Responsible For- Process monthly workflows, adjustments and reconciliations for Basel III capital calculations and related internal reporting
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Basel III regulation, calculations and analysis
- Participate in the annual Advanced Systems Assessment across various functions to deliver a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the Bank’s systems/processes
- Complete analytical packages to interpret capital results and prepare presentation packages for senior management and Investor Relations
- Stay abreast of regulatory and reporting updates, review and interpret guidance and apply changes as needed
- Manage department policy and procedure documents, controls and self‑assessments
- Develop and update complex financial models to review automated logic and generate flux analyses
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) of the Risk Data Lake logic updates
- Participate in new product onboarding
- Lead project work streams to enhance processes
- Participate in ad‑hoc projects from a regulatory capital perspective to assist the Return‑On‑Capital team’s ongoing management reporting
- Develop working relationships with State Street Finance teams to drive process improvement, automation and efficiency, improving the speed and quality of business performance data flow to management stakeholders for portfolio allocation decisions
- Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision and shares expertise with others
- Interprets client needs and key issues in moderately complex situations, takes a broad perspective to problems and identifies solutions
- Interprets internal and/or external business issues and implements best practice
- Adapts information/style to the audience, explaining difficult issues clearly with strong communication skills
- Promotes teamwork and works collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, MBA preferred
- 3‑5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in a complex global financial institution
- Experience managing multiple tasks in multiple locations
$65,000 – $113,750 Annual (primary location)
