Billing Specialist

Position Summary:

Billing and Contract Specialist will be responsible for the monthly oversight and billing of certain government contracts and monitoring the monthly and projected spend down (billing) of those contracts. Also responsible for reporting and audit processes for these contracts

• Fulfilling the overall review and understanding of the financial aspects of select government contracts
• Preparing select government contracts for signature and submission
• Overseeing select government contract data submissions and final reports
• Prepare and enter monthly invoices and billing in accordance with State/Federal Government Contracts, for reimbursement via the EIM system
• Meet contract and finance month-end close deadlines and assist with Contract Budgets for annual renewals and Contract Amendments
• Monitor monthly and projected spend down (billing) of contract and notifies if there are variances to budget
• Maintain service statistics, contract schedules, cover page, crosswalk and OSD reconciliation for UFR reporting requirements
• Provide financial information to Program Management, which includes monthly reports, as well as being a resource as questions arise.
• Keeping up to date knowledge of programmatic audit requirements, keeping abreast of any changes.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Working knowledge of detailed accounting systems and billing functions
