Base Pay Range$140,000/yr - $175,000/yr
Company OverviewA leading venture capital firm, focused on investing in next-generation life science companies, is seeking an Assistant Controller. The role will involve operations and accounting for both Hedge Fund and Venture Capital funds.
Job Responsibilities- Manage daily cash position and cash reconciliation with prime brokers and custodians
- Record daily fund accounting journal entries in the back-office system
- Review fund administrator NAV reporting and month-end investor statements
- Coordinate investor Trans scriptions and redemptions with the fund administrator, including gathering documents and setting up wires
- Deliver daily portfolio information and estimates
- Assist in annual fund audit and financial statement preparation
- Support ad-hoc marketing and compliance projects
- 5-8 years of public and/or private accounting and/or audit experience with a focus on the asset management industry
- CPA preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and a dedicated work ethic
Salary: $150,000 – $175,000, plus bonus.
