The Real Estate Performance Analyst is responsible for analysis and reporting across multiple real estate portfolios, with a focus on converting financial and operating data into actionable investment insights. The role supports portfolio management, investor relations, and senior leadership by delivering accurate, timely, and thought-provoking analysis on asset, portfolio, and fund-level performance. This position requires strong financial modeling capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities Performance Analysis & Reporting- Analyze fund- and asset-level performance, including IRR, TWR, multiples, valuation changes to determine key drivers of performance
- Monitor actual performance results analyzing trends across market cycles, property types and property locations from asset entry to exit
- Complete high volume of investor and consultant data requests for due diligence and fundraising efforts
- Prepare performance attribution analysis and commentary
- Perform sensitivity analyses and support risk assessment initiatives
- Translate complex analytics into clear, concise, investor-facing materials
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Maintain performance analytics models and large data sets ensuring consistency, accuracy and completeness of underlying data
- Assist in internal audit and review processes, including validating portfolio management, valuations and financial outputs to identify discrepancies
- Analyze external benchmarks (e.g., NPI, ODCE, Cambridge Associates, Preqin) and position portfolio performance relative to peers
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of real estate market trends and performance metrics to develop industry best practices and advancements in data analytics
- Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Valuations and Accounting teams to analyze results and understand trends
- Support investment decision-making through ad hoc analysis and presentation materials
- Coordinate with Investor Relations to ensure consistent and accurate messaging to investors and consultants
