Senior Finance Associate – Private Equity Analytics | Boston, MA | $95K–$110K + Bonus

A leading global private investment firm is looking for a Senior Finance Associate to join its Private Equity Analytics team. This is an excellent opportunity for a fund accountant or finance professional who wants to move beyond traditional accounting and into data, analytics, automation and AI-driven solutions.

The team sits at the intersection of Finance, Operations, IT, Investor Relations and Capital Markets, building the tools and data products that support decision-making across the firm.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Support LP data requests by delivering accurate, timely financial data and analysis
  • Work with existing reporting tools and data infrastructure to create bespoke investor deliverables
  • Identify manual or error-prone processes and develop more efficient, automated solutions
  • Build and improve Power BI models, Alteryx workflows, scripts and other analytical tools
  • Contribute to enterprise-level data applications and AI-assisted workflows
  • Partner with Data Governance to improve data quality, documentation and usability
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Investor Relations, Capital Markets, IT and investment professionals
  • Own projects from identifying a problem through developing and implementing the solution
Ideal Background:
  • 2–6 years of experience in fund accounting, accounting, finance or a similar analytical environment
  • Private equity, alternative assets or fund/partnership accounting experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data
  • Naturally curious with an interest in understanding the "why" behind the numbers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Clear communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • CPA or CFA, or progress toward either, is a plus

Technical experience is not required, but exposure to SQL, Python, Power BI/DAX, Alteryx, data warehouses or AI-assisted coding is a plus.

This is a unique opportunity for someone coming from a fund accounting or finance background who wants to build a career in data and analytics, with direct exposure to senior leadership, investment teams and multiple functions across a global investment platform.
