A high-growth consulting firm is seeking a Managing Director to join and grow its expanding Strategic Finance practice.
We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Managing Director to lead and grow the practice within the Finance Strategy and Transformation team. This leader will work at the forefront of finance transformation, helping CFOs modernize their finance organizations by driving improvements across operating models, processes, technology, and talent. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of the finance function for Fortune 1000 clients, delivering sustainable improvements in performance, efficiency, and insight.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end finance transformation work streams across strategy, operating model design, and execution
- Partner with CFOs and finance leadership to define target operating models
, governance, and performance metrics - Redesign core finance processes across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay (R2R, O2C, P2P)
- Support deployment of ERP, EPM, automation, AI, and analytics solutions
- Drive delivery across multi-workstream programs, ensuring quality, timelines, and measurable outcomes
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on finance strategy and performance improvement
- Contribute to business development, proposals, and client relationship growth
- Mentor and develop junior team members
What We’re Looking For
- Background in Big 4 or top-tier advisory firm
- 15 years’ experience in finance transformation, finance operating model design, shared services, or performance improvement
- Exposure to finance technology enablement (ERP, EPM, automation, analytics)
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence at CFO / Controller level
- Commercial mindset with interest in client growth and practice development
