Senior Director of Finance

Our client is seeking a strategic, hands‑on Senior Director of Finance to serve as the company’s top finance leader and a key advisor to the CEO. This role oversees Finance and Accounting, drives financial performance, strengthens operational discipline, and provides actionable insights that support business growth. The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially minded, and passionate about leveraging technology, automation, and AI to enhance decision-making and efficiency.

This role is on-site, in office in Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, KPI development, and business performance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, inventory economics, profitability, and banking relationships.
• Oversee accounting operations, financial controls, month‑end close, and team development.
• Provide financial leadership for a related real estate entity, including reporting, budgeting, and financing support.
• Identify and implement AI, automation, and analytics solutions to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
• Partner with leaders across Sales, Operations, Product, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Technology to drive informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a Finance and Accounting function, including forecasting, reporting, controls, and cash management.
• Strong financial acumen, business judgment, and ability to translate financial insights into action.
• Experience in apparel, consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, or other inventory‑intensive businesses preferred.
• Multi‑channel B2B, retail, and e‑commerce experience strongly desired.
• Experience with financial systems, automation, analytics, and AI applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
