Realm Security helps security teams control the explosive growth and cost of security data — routing, reducing, and enriching log data before it hits the SIEM, without sacrificing detection coverage. We’re a fast-growing cybersecurity SaaS company built by practitioners for practitioners, scaling our go-to-market and finance operations for our next stage of growth.
Role OverviewRealm Security is seeking a VP of Finance to build and lead the financial infrastructure supporting our next stage of growth. This is a hands‑on role for an experienced finance leader who thrives in a high‑growth SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities- Own and evolve the company’s FP&A function, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range financial planning
- Build and maintain financial models to track core SaaS metrics — ARR, CAC, LTV, net revenue retention, burn multiple, and rule of 40
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on fundraising, board reporting, and strategic planning
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with department heads to track spend against budget
- Oversee cash flow management, runway planning, and capital efficiency
- Partner with Sales and Rev Ops on pricing, deal structuring, and revenue forecasting
- Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting to the board and investors
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and outside financial partners
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team as the company scales
- 10–12+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant time in SaaS; cybersecurity or broader security software experience strongly preferred
- Strong FP&A background is required — hands‑on experience owning budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in a high‑growth SaaS environment
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Boston, MA area; this role requires an on‑site/hybrid presence
- Proven experience partnering directly with executive leadership, boards, and investors
- Deep fluency in SaaS metrics and unit economics
- Track record of scaling a finance function and building a team
- Experience managing Quick Books Online (QBO) as well as ability to lead migration toward mid‑market ERP as company scales
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA or CPA a plus
- Competitive salary and equity
- Comprehensive health benefits
- Flexible PTO
- The opportunity to build and shape the finance function at a fast-growing cybersecurity company
