As Regional Finance Director for our Horizon Services Group East region, you'll be the main finance partner to the Regional Vice President and General Managers. You'll help them understand what's driving results and what it will take to hit their targets.
This is not a back-office role. You'll know the business behind the numbers, challenge assumptions, spot risks and opportunities early, and turn financial performance into clear actions. If you can build strong relationships, influence decisions without direct authority, and earn a seat at the leadership table from day one, we'd like to hear from you.
What Will You Do Partner with regional leadership- Be the go‑to finance advisor for the Regional Vice Presidents and General Managers, building trust and credibility with operating leaders.
- Turn complex financial and operating data into clear decisions, priorities, and next steps.
- Pressure-test assumptions, raise risks and opportunities, and keep financial discipline front and center.
- Own the region's financial performance, forecasting, and visibility, with a deep understanding of the operational drivers behind results.
- Analyze results against plan, forecast, and prior periods. Find the root causes and work with the business on corrective actions.
- Build scenarios that show what it will take to achieve plan, including the actions, timing, assumptions, risks, and financial impact.
- Give leadership a clear, forward-looking view of performance, flagging risks and opportunities before they arrive.
- Make sure the region has accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting that supports good decisions.
- Run and reinforce standardized close, forecasting, and reporting processes. Remove manual work and regional inconsistencies.
- Work with Accounting, Procurement, Fleet, and other teams to resolve issues, validate cost allocations, and make sure costs are recorded accurately and on time.
- Find ways to simplify, automate, or shift transactional work so finance stays focused on insight and partnership.
- Partner with Corporate Finance, FP&A, and Controllership on process improvements and company-wide initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is a plus.
- 6+ years of progressive finance experience, including supporting a multi‑site, multi‑unit, or multi‑region business.
- A track record of working across functions and influencing decisions and behaviors without direct authority.
- Executive presence and communication skills to operate as a peer to regional operating leaders from day one.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the region.
- Experience in a private-equity‑backed or transaction‑oriented environment.
- Experience in services, residential services, distribution, or another multi‑location service business.
- Experience using Claude or other AI tools to sharpen analysis and boost productivity.
You’ll have real influence on how a growing region performs, direct access to senior operating leaders, and the chance to shape how finance partners with the business.
