Overview
Mass General Brigham – Bulfinch Temps is hiring a temporary Phlebotomist to work at the North End Health Center on Hanover Street. The role is Monday‑Friday 8:00–4:30 with no benefits eligibility. The position supports patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and is part of a multidisciplinary team that promotes a safe, compassionate environment.
Responsibilities- Perform venipuncture, skin puncture, and urine sample collection for patients of all ages.
- Adhere to standard precautions, hand hygiene, and infection control protocols.
- Check patient identification against requisition and label specimens accurately.
- Maintain and update knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, specimen handling, and disposal.
- Assist the Nurse Manager with annual competency verification and specimen transport.
- Provide excellent customer service and support the laboratory orientation of new staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a phlebotomy training program preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification or other accredited training program required; national certification preferred.
- Basic CPR certification required;
Basic Phlebotomy certification required. - Epic experience preferred; computer skills required.
- 5 or more years of prior phlebotomy work experience required.
- Knowledge of Italian and/or Spanish helpful but not required.
Hourly Pay Range: $17.36 – $23.80 (Grade
2). Temporary onsite position with scheduled weekly hours.
