CT Scan Technologist $15K Sign-On Incentive
Join to apply for the CT Scan Technologist $15K Sign-On Incentive role at Dana‑Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Working under the direction of the CT/X‑Ray Manager, CT/X‑Ray Supervisor, and CT Clinical Director, the CT technologist performs all technical procedures within CT as described in the DFCI Imaging Policy Manual and maintains a safe and effective imaging environment.
Sign‑on incentive of $15,000 is available for external hires only.
Responsibilities- Adheres to departmental policies, fosters communication and collaboration, and ensures patient, staff, and environmental safety.
- Maintains infection control, orderliness, cleanliness, and radiation safety per HIPAA and Image Gently/Image Wisely guidelines.
- Ensures regulatory, accreditation, and institutional requirements are met and participates in QA/QI programs.
- Communicates compassionate information to patients, ensures understanding of procedures, and monitors patient flow using scheduling and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Performs all technical CT procedures, obtains high‑quality scans, establishes IV access, administers contrast agents under protocol, and ensures equipment operates at accepted standards.
- Performs quality control, manages imaging datasets, maintains records, and completes all duties as directed.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong customer service skills and professionalism with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and be detail oriented.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and follow‑through skills.
- Works independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective time management and workload prioritization.
The position requires graduation from an accredited imaging technology program (radiography or nuclear medicine); one to two years of hospital‑based experience preferred. Candidates must hold a current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License in Radiography/CT or obtain the CT category within one year of hire. Current ARRT Radiography (RT‑R) registration is required; ARRT CT (RT‑CT) registration must be obtained within one year of hire.
Current BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
