Certified Nursing Assistant (PT), Mt. St. Mary's Abbey

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate aide to work in our contemplative monastic setting. We are seeking someone who will provide high-quality care in our monastery infirmary. Responsibilities include assessing needs and collaborating with the supervisor and other staff to care well for our sisters. Your compassion and knowledge will help our sisters to live out our mission of prayer.

We appreciate your openness to learning about and working in a monastic culture/environment.

• To provide personal care to sisters living in the infirmary and to be physically able to assist with personal care
• To communicate well with other infirmary staff and sisters and to be flexible as situations require.
• To have a compassionate and attentive approach to all elders, especially those who are suffering from dementia
• To assist with occasional light housework (laundry, dishes, preparing light meals, etc.)
• To have an openness to learning about and working in a monastic culture/environment

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification or comparable
• Hours:
  
  flexible days and hours (weekdays, weekends)
• Wage:
  By negotiation.
