The Opportunity- Lead diagnostic R&D programs to develop in vitro diagnostic products that are both clinically impactful and commercially viable, with the goal of improving healthcare-related outcomes.
- Design, execute, manage, analyse, and report on both internal and external research projects, particularly focused on exosome technologies.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality technical documentation, including research proposals, project plans, technical reports, peer-reviewed publications, and professional presentations.
- Ensure full compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards, and contribute to the drafting and maintenance of SOPs, design controls, and audit‑ready records.
- Support the company's intellectual property strategy by identifying new technologies and product opportunities, securing IP through accurate record‑keeping, and contributing to patent filings and renewals.
- Supervise, train, and manage junior scientists and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing research environment.
- PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Endocrinology, or Immunology, or similar field. A PhD in Oncology (cancer biology or diagnostics) are highly desirable.
- At least five years of postdoctoral laboratory research experience, including small group leadership, ideally within the pharmaceutical or diagnostics industry.
- Deep knowledge of extracellular vesicle biomarker discovery using proteomics, glycomics, and genomics technologies demonstrated by patents or high‑quality publications.
- Strong experience in assay development relating to oncology, neurology, or cardiology, including the development and validation of multivariate index assays.
- A strong understanding of laboratory quality and regulatory standards, including ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, and IVDR 2017/246.
